I already have an account — can I sell from it?

Yes. You can turn the account you already have into a creator account, and you keep everything you have bought. You do not need to sign up again.

Yes — and you should, rather than signing up again. One person, one account: a second account splits your purchase history across two logins and is against the Terms.

Where to find it

Two places, both on your own account:

  • Account settings — the "Become a creator" card at the top.
  • Your own profile page — the same card, under your banner.

Either one opens a short form. Nothing changes until you finish it.

What it asks for

The same things a new creator answers when they sign up:

  • Badges — what you make, so supporters can find you.
  • A social account — one account you post on. It is checked automatically, and it stays private unless you choose to show it.
  • The creator Terms, and that you understand your creator email address can appear on supporter transaction records and receipts. Most creators set up an address just for this.

What happens straight away

Your account becomes a creator account the moment you submit. You can start setting your page up immediately.

Your profile photo and bio are checked against the creator rules. Nothing is deleted — they are still on your page exactly as you left them. As a supporter they were never checked, because a supporter's picture is not shown on a page anybody buys from; as a creator they are. The checks are automatic, so there is nobody to wait for. If your banner was one of ours it stays as it is.

You will then work through the rest of the setup — your payouts, then a card on file. How do I start selling? walks through all of it in order.

What you keep

Everything. Your purchases, your subscriptions, the creators you follow, your saved items and your order history all stay on this account. If you have already been through card verification, that carries over too — you will not be asked for it again.

Nothing you bought is affected, and nothing is refunded or cancelled.

If it will not let you

The form will tell you which of these it is:

  • Your email address is not confirmed yet. Confirm it and come straight back. Your creator email appears on supporter receipts, so it has to be an address we know reaches you.
  • There is a restriction on your account. While one is in place we cannot change what the account is.
  • A payment on your account is still being looked at — an open dispute or chargeback on something you bought. We settle those before an account starts selling.

For the last two, use the button on that page to talk to our team and somebody will look at it with you.

Going back

There is no way to turn a creator account back into a supporter-only one. You can stop listing things at any time, and you can still buy from other creators exactly as before — becoming a creator adds to what your account can do, it does not take anything away.
