Getting started — creators

Everything between signing up and your first sale, in the order it happens.

A word or two searches. Ask a full question (4+ words) and Enter answers it.
  1. How do I start selling?Six setup steps, in this order: profile → social account → review → card on file → payouts → identity. Then your first listing and your first sale.
  2. I already have an account — can I sell from it?Yes. You can turn the account you already have into a creator account, and you keep everything you have bought. You do not need to sign up again.
  3. Why is my profile still in review?Photos, banner and bio are each checked by a person. Until they clear, the public sees a placeholder — you still see your own upload.
  4. What does the creator subscription cost?£8.99 + VAT a month, flat, whatever you earn — charged after your first sale.
  5. Connecting your payoutsPayouts run through your own Stripe account, in your name. Setting it up is a form Stripe hosts, not us.
  6. Stripe is asking me for somethingEverything Stripe still needs is shown on your dashboard, in plain words, with the date it has to be done by.
  7. Verifying your identityA passport check through Stripe Identity, after payouts are connected. You cannot publish a listing until it passes.
  8. What do I do next?Your dashboard always shows the single next step. It is based on what you have actually done, not on how long ago you signed up.
  9. My account has been suspendedYou can still sign in and read everything. Selling, publishing and payouts stop, and your dashboard shows the reason and what to do about it.
  10. Changing your username, display name or photoYour display name, photo and bio can be changed any time. Changes to photos and bio go back through review; your public page keeps the approved version meanwhile.
  11. How does the leaderboard work? The public board ranks creators by how many different people have bought from them — never by how much money they have made. You can opt out at any time.
  12. Sending a notification to your supportersYou can send one short notification a day, 4 in any 30 days, to the people who have bought from you. No links or contact details are allowed in it.
  13. My profile is approved — what now?Approval means your photo, bio and social handle passed review. Next you add a payment card, connect your payouts and pass the ID check — then you can list and sell.
  14. My profile was rejected — what do I do?A rejection names what needs changing and puts your profile back in your hands. Change the thing it names and submit again — there is no limit on how many times you can.
  15. How do I set my cover image?Pick one of our ready-made covers or upload your own. An uploaded cover is reviewed before it appears; a ready-made one goes live straight away.
  16. Can supporters find me on my birthday? If you switch it on, you appear on the birthday page during the week your birthday falls in, and people who support you can be reminded. It is off unless you turn it on.
