If you switch it on, you appear on the birthday page during the week your birthday falls in, and people who support you can be reminded. It is off unless you turn it on.
Turn on birthday discovery in your account settings. It is off unless you switch it on — having a date of birth on file is not the same as agreeing to be listed.
What it does
- You appear on the birthday page for the week your birthday falls in. The page shows one week at a time, Monday to Sunday.
- People who have bought from you can be reminded in the days before.
Your birth year is never shown
Not on the page, not in an email, not to anyone. Only the day and the month are ever used.
If you cannot see yourself
Two ordinary reasons, and neither is a fault:
- Your birthday is in a different week. The page only ever shows the current one, so a birthday a few days away can still be in next week's list.
- Not enough creators that week. The page waits until there are enough birthdays to be worth showing, rather than featuring one person on their own.
You also need a date of birth saved on your account, and your profile has to be approved.
