How do Paid Requests work?

For creators1 min readUpdated 8 Sept 2026

Custom work you make to order. The money is held until you deliver and the buyer accepts.

A Paid Request is custom work someone orders from you. The money is taken at the point of order and held until it is delivered and accepted.

The sequence

  1. A supporter orders and pays.
  2. You are notified, with the deadline.
  3. You deliver — a file, a message or a link — as proof of the work.
  4. The supporter accepts, or it is auto-confirmed after a set period.
  5. It becomes eligible for your next payout.

Deadlines are real

Miss one and the order is refunded automatically. Nobody has to ask and there is nothing to dispute.

Instant versus timed

An instant request is fulfilled on payment — the reward can be a file, because there is nothing to make.

A timed request cannot offer a file. Its whole point is work you produce afterwards, and a pre-uploaded file would be downloadable the moment the buyer paid. Use a message or a link.

Held is not lost

Escrow money shows on your dashboard as awaiting delivery, separately from what is due to be paid, so a lower payout always has a reason you can see.
