Your dashboard always shows the single next step. It is based on what you have actually done, not on how long ago you signed up.
There is one card on your dashboard that names the step you are on, and it is the only thing you need to act on.
It follows what you have done, not the calendar
Finish three steps in an hour and it moves three places in an hour. It will never tell you to do something you have already done.
"Nothing to do" is a real state
Two steps are finished by you and completed by an admin — your profile, and your identity check. While either is being reviewed the card says so and gives you nothing to press, because there genuinely is nothing.
Dismissing it
Closing the card hides it for a week, not forever. It is usually hiding the one thing standing between you and being able to sell.
